Portfolio Partner Profile
ADM Asia Climate-Smart Landscape Fund
Asia Climate-Smart Landscape Fund (ACLF) provides flexible debt financing to small- and medium-size enterprises (SMEs) focused on sustainable agriculture, aquaculture, land regeneration, and forest protection in Indonesia. Globally, Indonesia is the fifth largest emitter of greenhouse gases (GHG), with more than half of the GHGs produced by land use change from forests to agriculture1. In addition, demand from SMEs for medium-term financing goes largely unmet due to structural barriers of the regional financial markets. ACLF’s capital allows its SME clients to expand their businesses in a more sustainable way. The Fund aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve community livelihoods, as well as gender equity and improve land use management.
The fund manager, ADM Capital, is an investment management firm founded in 1998 with ~$2 billion assets under management and locations in Hong Kong (HQ), Bangalore, Beijing, Jakarta, Singapore and Sydney. ACLF is also supported by ADM Capital Foundation, an impact-driven philanthropic vehicle that supports critical research promoting environmental conservation in Asia.
